Biography:

Dr. Hua Junyi joined the School of International Affairs and Public Administration, OUC as an associate professor in March 2022. Before that, Junyi completed his postdoctoral research at the University of Hong Kong where he received his PhD degree in 2019. His research interests focus on climate change health risk assessment and adaption policies, public perception and preference towards urban environments, and environmental management and human well-being. He has more than 10 research papers published in high-ranking SSCI/SCI journals such as Cities, Sustainable Cities and Society, and Journal of Environmental Management. Junyi has participated in cross-disciplinary collaborative projects, e.g., the European Union Horizon 2020 project on urban forests as nature-based solutions and the China report of The Lancet Countdown on health and climate change.
