Biography
Qin Lizhi is an associate professor in the Department of Political Science at the Ocean University of China. Associate professor Qin received his Ph.D. in International Relations from the Fudan University (China). His research interests include Geopolitics, Neoclassical Realism, Balance of Power, Grand Strategy, History of Maritime Empires. He has published articles on Internationalrelations theory,geopolitics, grand strategy in journals such as World Economics and Politics; Quarterly Journal of International Politics, Journal of International Security Studies, Pacific Journal, and Northeast Asia Forum.His current research examines how international relationships affect strategies for sea power with empirical methods including Process tracking and case studies and comparative historical research methods. His present works include a working paper exploring the interaction between international relationships and geopolitics, rimland, strategic uncertainty, security dilemma, window expectations, thucydides trap, and strategic overdraft.
