Biography:
Lecturer GE Xiaochang joined the School of International Affairs and Public Administration at Ocean University of China since July 2024. He obtained Ph.D. degree from Renmin University of China. His doctoral dissertation is titled “Alliance Relational Perceptions and the Success and Failure in the Improvement of the U.S. Allies’ Autonomy: A Case Study of Treaty Negotiations with East Asian Allies”, focuses on the improvement of autonomy of weaker allies in asymmetric alliances. He has published several research articles in journals such as International Political Science, African and Asian Studies, and PLOS ONE, exploring issues such as China-U.S.-Japan trilateral relations, China's domestic economic conditions and overseas investments, and Chinese public perceptions of foreign countries.
