Biography

Dr. Bu Yanjun is a Lecturer in the Department of Political Science at the School of International Affairs and Public Administration, Ocean University of China. She earned her Ph.D. in International Politics from Tongji University in 2025. During her doctoral studies, she participated in a joint Ph.D. program at the University of Turin, Italy, funded by the China Scholarship Council (CSC). Her research focuses on great power competition in technology, global technology governance, and international political economy.

Dr. Bu has published more than ten peer-reviewed articles in leading CSSCI journals, including World Economics and Politics, International Security Studies, and Science of Science. Her work has been featured multiple times in China Social Science Digest and reprinted by Renmin University of China’s reprint series. She received the National Scholarship for Doctoral Students in 2021 and 2024, the CSC Scholarship for Country and Area Studies in 2023, and was recognized as one of Tongji University’s Top 10 “Academic Pioneers.” She also serves as a peer reviewer for International Review (CSSCI).
