Biography
Dr. Huang holds a Ph.D. in Planning from the University of Waterloo (2020). Prior to joining OUC, she was an Associate Research Fellow at Nanjing University. Combining expertise in geography and planning, her research tackles land-use, housing, and transportation challenges in urban and rural contexts using mixed methods—including spatial econometrics, GIS, remote sensing, agent-based modeling, and qualitative analysis. Dr. Huang currently serves as Principal Investigator on two grants examining the interplay between transit investments, urban renewal, and socio-economic outcomes. She has published in leading journals such as Cities, Environment and Planning B, and Journal of Transport Geography, and actively pursues global research collaborations that bring comparative perspectives to sustainable urban planning and transportation infrastructure development.
