国晓光，男，汉族，1988年10月生，山东沂南人。吉林大学政治学博士，德国不莱梅大学联合培养博士，不莱梅大学客座研究员。现为中国海洋大学博士后，讲师，硕士生导师。主要研究领域为现代国家建构、民主转型与当代中国政治。

Xiaoguang Guo is currently a lecturer in the Department of  Political Science at Ocean University of China. He obtained his doctorate of political science at Jilin University in 2016. His research interests include modern state-building, democratic transition as well as contemporary Chinese politics. He visited University of Bremen as a Ph.D student in 2014 which was funded by China Scholarship Council. During his one-year-stay in Germany, he worked as the guest scientist of Jean Monnet Center for European Studies at University of Bremen. Cooperating with Prof. Ulrike Liebert, the head of CEuS, he taught a course named Government and Politics in the PRC for the undergraduate program of the Department of Political Science, which was also taken by a number of MA students at University of Bremen in the summer term of 2015. Guo has published several papers addressing Chinese state capacity and state-society relations. The title of his Ph.D dissertation isOrder, Inclusion and Redistribution of Power:The State’s Political Integration of Private Entrepreneurs since the 1990s and it is selected as the excellent Ph.D thesis at Jilin University in 2017.
